Abstract
|
|
|
Benign fibrous histiocytoma is charact3erized by proliferation of histiocytes and fibroblast-like cells. It is practically always distributed between the tendon seath and synovium of the wrist and fingertips and between the ankle and toetips but
uncommon in the knee.
We experienced a case of benign fibrous histiocytoma in a 38 year-old male patient who complained of pain and a palpable mass on the medial sapect of the left knee, which was treated surgically. Arthroscopy and excisional biopsy showed protruded
mass in
the joint space. So, we report it with review of lit4erature.
